Applying Text Formatting in Pagemaker

Pagemaker allows you to apply various text formatting options to specific text, enhancing the visual appeal and readability of their content. This user guide will walk you through the steps to apply heading tags, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, change color, and add links to your text in the Pagemaker editor.

Applying Heading Tags

Select the text you want to use as a heading.
In the toolbar, locate the "Heading" drop-down menu.
Choose the appropriate heading level from H1 to H6 to apply the desired heading tag to the selected text.

Making Text Bold

Select the text you wish to make bold.
Click on the "B" icon in the toolbar to apply the bold formatting to the selected text.

Applying Italic Formatting

Highlight the text you want to italicize.
Click on the "I" icon in the toolbar to apply the italic formatting to the selected text.

Underlining Text

Select the text you want to underline.
Click on the "U" icon in the toolbar to apply the underline formatting to the selected text.

Adding Strikethrough

Highlight the text you want to strikethrough.
Click on the icon in the toolbar which is beside the "U" icon to apply the strikethrough formatting to the selected text.

Changing Text Color

Select the text you want to change the color of.
Locate the "Text Color" drop-down menu in the toolbar.
Choose the desired color from the color palette to apply it to the selected text.

Adding Links

Highlight the text you want to turn into a hyperlink.
Click on the "Link" icon in the toolbar.
In the pop-up window, enter the URL you want to link to.

After applying all the desired text formatting, click on the "Save" button and click on "Preview" to see how your changes look in the actual view. If you're satisfied with the changes, click "Publish" to save the updated content.
