Preview Different Views Directly from the Editor in Pagemaker

Pagemaker allows customers to generate landing pages with five default views in the editor. However, the lowest default view size is 375 pixels for mobile devices. If someone's screen size is lower than this, they cannot preview the page in the editor. To address this issue, we have introduced a new feature that allows users to preview lower versions of their current view by adding numbers in the editor screen. This feature enables users to make necessary adjustments for smaller screen sizes. This guide will walk you through the steps to use this new feature effectively.

Step 1: Access the Editor

  1. Open Pagemaker and log in to your account.
  2. Access the landing page editor by either creating a new landing page or opening an existing one.

Step 2: Understanding Default Views

  1. By default, the editor displays five predefined views, ranging from desktop to mobile sizes.
  2. The lowest default mobile view is set to 375 pixels.

Step 3: Previewing Lower Versions

  1. In the editor, you can see the current view size specified after the parameter "Width=". For example, "Width=375" for the lowest mobile version.
  2. To preview a lower version, simply modify the view value to a smaller size. For instance, to preview at 200 pixels, change "Width=375" to "Width=200" in the editor.
  3. Press Enter to see the updated preview.

  • Once you have previewed a lower version, you can now make adjustments to the page layout and elements to ensure they fit within the smaller screen size.

Remember that changes made to a lower version will affect all other mobile versions, as they are not treated separately. For the higher version, which exceeds 1280 pixels, users can only view content without the ability to edit.

With the new feature to preview different views directly from the editor, you can now make adjustments for lower screen sizes. If you continue to experience any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at support@pagemaker.io for further assistance.
